I am a creator.
I am an artist
It’s painful for me to be boxed in. They say pick one thing, but I find that so hard to do. Although I follow rules and work within confines, I excel at creating different ways of working and inventing things.
I am a maker. I am in the garden dancing barefoot, in the kitchen performing what you think is magic, teaching children, helping friends, listening to burdens, and offering advice.
I am an author of not just books but of my life.
I am an empath. If I spend any time with you even a tiny bit, I hear you. I truly understand you. I really see you. I can define your features and draw them. When I see you, I even see the art that your being is presenting in person as a performance. I also see what you would look like on the canvas or prints that I created beginning with my camera. I create that art in my head as we are talking and then I get off the phone or walk away with an impression that I will remember. My memories are strong in color, smells, textures, and feelings.
I don’t live inside myself, inside a bubble being protective although I have. It is so stifling in that place!
I get inspired by so many things you wouldn’t believe it. Even tiny, simple things.
I am in a constant state of learning through classes, tasting everything, I can, touching, feeling, and absorbing. Then I ponder
I get called jack of all trades and master of none. I say that’s rubbish. Can’t you be a good mom and a good nurse? Can’t you also learn skills that would make you a great cook in the same lifetime? We all do multiple things and some of us have had multiple careers. They say a person changes jobs 7 times in their life. Don’t you have many things you can say you have done or know about?
The camera, computer, paint brushes, stethoscope, oven, and piping bags are all just tools.
You are much more than you know. You are capable of so much no matter how limited you are.
You can be anyone you want to be
You have to be self-motivated and have the passion and drive to go after it.
