I work from a quiet studio practice in my home in Spring, Texas, where painting has become both a daily rhythm and a lifelong companion. My studio sits at the heart of my home, a place where family life and creative life meet and sustain one another.
My paintings explore transformation and inner life through figurative imagery. Through layered surfaces and intuitive mark-making, I explore states of change, the subtle, often unseen moments of becoming.
This way of seeing was shaped by years spent caring for my multihandicapped son.
Through that experience, I learned to move at a different pace and to recognize meaning and beauty in places others might overlook. That attentiveness continues to guide both my painting and my life.
I am drawn to portraits and figurative work that hold tension and depth, light and shadow, clarity and mystery. For me, painting is a form of reflection and prayerful attention, as much about listening as it is about seeing.
This way of seeing now shapes how I work with collectors and clients, creating art that accompanies them on their own journey of becoming, not simply as decoration, but as a visual companion for their inner life.
Art has been with me since childhood, and over time, it has become not just a comfort but a calling. Today, my work reflects an ongoing journey of becoming, an exploration of how we change, soften, and grow.
I hope my paintings invite you into stillness, curiosity, and compassion, and help you notice both the beauty around you and the person you are becoming.
